Dark stillness of nights can inspire the brightest movement of sounds…

I had to share these semi-improvisational pieces. I knew they were special, especially in the manner they were made, going against my established nature, reaching within my hidden reservoir to shower truly expressive soundscapes with my current sonic equipment.

Concocted and recorded over 4 evenings straight in December 2020, each recording is quite distinct yet connected by a pulsing drone throughout. “Chorale” opens the collection with a neo-classical soundtrack that pulls between consonance and dissonance in smooth fashion. “Air Bender” teleports you to the high altitudes of the mountain temples / steampunk cities, a meditation amongst the thriving wind. “Inquit Serpentis” expresses angst, despair and anger based on the legendary Greek creature, the hydra. And “Rainbow Balloon Deluxe!” takes us back to the sky with radiant light rays and vibrant multi-colour helium-filled shiny spheres!
